Actually Matusow played that quite bad. From which hand would he expect to get value from? Qc? Ivey has tons of Full houses in his range. Clearly Ivey exoected Matusow to be on a bluff, as logically he would not bet and raise him on the river with a flush. As Ivey has more Full houses on his range. So he decided to go for the bluff

Matusow is so bad, players must have been terrible back then. A ton of the range that re raises you All-In has you drawing slim. The other half of the range that you beat puts you as a 2:1 at best. It's a marginal call here, you can't be THAT shocked when you lose. You gotta expect it sometimes when you go blasting off with 8T.

Not the greatest bluff, but rather one of the dumbest and weakest fold. Very surprised Matusow folding his second nut flush. Ivey can represent a nut flush (or trips which Matusow beats) but certainly not a full house considering the raise pre-flop and Ivey's action on the turn and river. (check and check-raising on the river OP which was a giveaway bluff). With the equity, the pot size, and his hand strength, that should have been a call.

I think he took to long to decide to raise it on the river. If he had snap raised it, it would have been way more believable, and I think Mike just missed that.

Honestly, Tony G embodies the true heart of poker. For every given hand, there is a statistically favourable move to make, every time. You can win more on average if you solely focus on the averages and stats, and that's just memorisation. the real skill comes in the social aspect of the game, and that's where Tony G is the king. Getting your opponent emotionally affected is an entirely valid and sporting tactic - it's a shame so many of these sunglass-wearing "pros" don't understand, and take it personally.
